She said I'm old!

How come "Mom, brother is throwing up" results in me running over to him with my hands cupped? I mean what was I thinking? Humm, I'm curious how much can my hands really hold? Or was it - If I catch this mornings scrambled egg then it wont crumble into the rug when I clean it up....and why is it that he finds the only 4x8 piece of rug down stairs to throw up on? Since he's obviously not feeling well, Kalee and I left him home to nap with Daddy while us girls went out to do some errands. You see, tonight is a very "special" for the Navy Chief's. He had to come home and rest up for the all nighter he gets to pull having "fun" with this years selectees since it's the only year he gets to do so. I remember being a Selectee's wife this time last year...never again thank goodness! So, Kalee and I had a few things to do, one in which is go to the post office. We walked out to the High School band marching towards the field. When I had to stop walking so someone could pass I noticed I was mark timing to the drum line. I'm serious! Almost a decade later! Then my daughter said "I want to wear a drum like that. Can I do that when I get old like you?" Great. Now I'm old too!

Max signed the moving papers today. About a month left before our big pack out...with lots of events between now and then. Never a dull moment in this house hold!

Now that the tornado is sleeping I better take advantage of this time with my little cleaning helper.

Hahahaha!!! This going to be a long comment, but....

When my little sister visited my mom and I at our work office one day, she found something in the corner. She was sooo fascinated by it. While my mom and I worked, we heard her ask a question from the corner.

"Where's the monitor?"

When we turned to find out where the monitor had gone, we realized that she was looking at the typewriter.

"That's a typewriter, sweetie. There is no monitor", my mom said.

She quickly replied with, "Oh!! I read about one of these in my History Book!"

Wow. Are we really getting that old?
