"Mom, can we send food to the poor people in far away places like Egypt, India and China?"
Sure we can. Would you like that to be one of your projects?
"Yes, can I make the pancakes and mail them?"
Pancakes aren't such a great idea. By the time the people get them they might be yucky and moldy. We can donate money to an organization that helps feed people the kind of foods they like to eat. Remember how Japanese food was different then food we get here?
"Yeah. Some of it smelled too. Hey I have an idea! We can mail them a call phone to call us when they need more to eat."
(holding my laughter) Well honey I think they would rather have food in their bellies and clothes on their backs then a cell phone. Remember they are poor. They probably don't even know what a call phone is. I think we can send them money for food and clothes. We can even send things like crayons and coloring books.
"How about a Bible?"
Absolutely! Great idea.
"Mom, I want to be a missionary! I want to get in a jet and fly to a different country to tell the people about Jesus."
(Gulp...smile)
This is not the first, second, or third time she has talked about being a missionary.
...I wonder what His plan is for her?!?!

How totally awesome to hear her heart... God is going to use that wonderful sweet heart for His glory!! :)
I think it's a pretty good sign for her! A friend of mine did some incredible missionary training at a camp in Colorado and then spent time in China delivering God's word and then building a church in Sri Lanka between high school and college and she loved it! She's one of the most amazing people I know!
She is so smart!!! What ever His plan is, I'm sure it is beautiful!! She has such a big and beautiful heart!!! It just melts mine. :-) You go Kaylee!!! You've got a great mom who's doing an awesome job! Go mom!!!
my sweet girl will go far .. she is so kind and careing in so many ways .. she is pure and is listening to the words that god is speaking to her .. she will be blessed ..God has blessed you both in so many ways Averi .. I love you all ,some old lady that cares
Averi, you and Max should be so very proud of yourselves. Kalee would not know what a missionary is if you didn't have God in your life. Her heart is pure, loving and eager to serve. Aweosme! Can't wait to see what He has in store for her!
