Me? Wet Myself?

Interesting evening. I was privileged enough to experience a CT scan for the first time in my life tonight. Yeah, I know your asking why. I'm waiting for some kind of answer myself. Once I get it I'll share it. Until then I have to tell you about this weird feeling.

I walked in to the large poorly labeled medical facility and located Radiology. Upon my arrival I presented my dependent ID card and in no time they called me back to sit in a chair. I answered a questioneer mainly asking if I was pregnant or allergic to iodine, she tied up my bicep and told me to squeeze away. I asked for a small needle, as usual. She told me that with the IV she couldn't. The sweet lady named Dawn (my Mom's name) listen to me blab for a few seconds before I warned her I was not feeling well. The smell of hospital and alcohol mixed and turned my stomach. My vision got blurry dark and delayed. Hearing got soft foggy and muffled. I felt tingling throughout my body and warned her I was going to pass out. I remember sinking into my seat, leaning my head against the wall and hearing "keep your eyes open and breathe in through your nose". I cracked my eyes and one of the four people asked if I wanted to lay down. Somehow I made it to a bed with knees propped up and everything started coming back to me. I said "I guess it would have been helpful to warn you that I have passed out and had a seizure before when large needles were involved." She replied "Please no episodes today, I haven't done that to anyone in a very long time." At least I knew my body. I always say I can tell you I'm going to pass out right before I do. Once I got situated she warned me the contrast was going to give me a warm feeling like I was wetting my pants. She gave me contrast...I swear I wet my pants. After laying there in what I thought was pee for about 5 minutes, I was done.

I sat up, checked myself...and was DRY.

What a weird feeling!
