Nature Walk Along the Beach- **Pic's added**

I started my day unusually. My eyes opened with the blue glow of daylight. Instantly, I started singing the cadence "Up in the mornin' with the risin' sun..."

I got my Mommy chores done and chatted away with a dear friend of mine in Japan before the monsters woke. Wrote a very nice letter to the CO 'To Whom It May Concern' in regards to military paperwork and got that sent out before packing the kids up to spend a day visiting our friends at their Beach House. What a relaxing afternoon. We took a short nature walk along the beach in the afternoon and another walk as the sun set. God made my classroom! ;) We talked about different sand textures, shells, high tide/low tides, erosion, sea plants, and inspected several sand crab holes. This opens a whole new can of questions which will lead us to Googling things like 'what do sand crabs eat' and 'what eats them'. Endless possibilities. I love every question and every moment spent with them....even if it involves Kalee hanging on my arm screaming and running from the sea crabs. Bear on the other hand stopped at every hole, got down on his knees to inspect it and asked "Hello? Is anybody in there?".

Yes, I love my babies...and I love the endless possibilities of using what God has created as learning material.

When I was flying back and forth from Spokane, there was a Customer Service Agent from Alaska air who wore at ballcap all the time. She was going through Chemo and had lost her hair. It was great to see one day that she was getting her hair back, and I got to enjoy the journey with her each week. Your locks will grow back Averi, maybe you'll get beautiful blonde hair like me this time! hahaha. It's nice to know you are putting your Child Development skills to good use. You learned a lot in my class...yes, I'll take credit where I can get it. Love you!
