Let me tell you, I have some of the best friends that spent a few hours of their Mothers Day at my house. When the Doctor told me I'd loose my hair with the chemo drugs I was on, I started talking to my kiddos about it. Kalee decided we should have a party. After talking to my friends, I thought it would be an easier transition for all the kids to
a.) see my hair fall out literally in my hands
b.) take part in cutting it
c.) see the final result
So, all hands reported to the back yard with clippers and scissors. Every child had the opportunity to cut my hair.
Cuttin' away!
Max gave me a hawk...
You can see some of the patches where it was coming out in chunks.
I must say, I love it! I don't have to worry about humidity...need I say more?!?! I'm still trying to get used to the draft from the ceiling fan...but I won't complain about my hair blowing when the car windows are down. ;) Seriously, when else in my life can I get away with this? What better excuse then cancer! I'm aerodynamic now!
I have experimented with bandannas, cut up t-shirts, wigs, and scarves. The wig shop brought me back to my high school wig wearing days...yeah, y'all forever fuscha lipstick, wig wearers know what I'm talking about! Good ol' colorguard days. So far I'm favoring bandannas. Good thing my Step-Mom and Dad sent me a different one for every day of the month. Today I'm sporting an orange one. ;) I'll model them for ya another time.
But the toeleg hair....I'm not loosing fast enough.

You look beautiful, you truly do!!! it suits you, and it has to be WAY easier than even the shortest cut i have pulled ;)
You look beautiful...as I knew you would. However....I now feel like I knew what you looked like as a baby with no hair...LOL I am so happy that you have such wonderful people in your life to help make this experience easier. The fact that you can have a smile on your face makes me love you even more. As for the wigs...no need to buy one if it is going to look like the ones from high school. I am sure mine is still sitting in storage somewhere...I can send it to you. LOL. I think your friends were right about your head blending in with the rest of your skin...get some sun!!! j/k I'm glad your party turned out so good. The daughter of yours deserves a big hug. What a great idea!
Gorgeous as ever:)
