Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

I really miss Grandma and Grandpa...we had a great visit. They are going home to rest. ;) Backwards huh?

When we go to visit them Max and I always talk about our great visit on the way home, which I now realize it must me easier for me to wind down that way rather then waving at the door. I would come home with freshly laundered clothes that smelled like their house and not want to wear them (yeah your learning more about my psychoticness). Instead, miraculously the laundry monster didn't visit! It must be afraid of Grandma because It didn't come around for a whole week...and I know we showered and changed clothes. :) We got a lot accomplished!

Grandma is great at looking at the pieces and putting the whole picture together to not only make it look good, but to make things functional. A small example- Kalee's closet and drawers were...crazy, full, messy, overloaded...what ever you want to call it. Grandma suggested getting rid of the stuffed animals that I hate so much anyway from the hope chest that Max made her, and put her winter clothes that she's not using in it. Well duh Averi! Now you can see everything. :) It's functional and now she has no stuffed animals for me to tell her to pick up...double score! Next on the list is getting rid of all the toys in their room. I mean, what 3 or 6 year old needs toys? :) Don't send hate mail...I'm moving them to the f.r.o.g. to alleviate a mess throughout the entire 2nd floor. Family, take note: NO MORE dust mite collecting STUFFED ANIMALS!!!

Grandpa and Max enjoyed their time working too. I did catch Grandpa laying down on the job a few times. I walked into the kitchen and he was laying down on the cool tile... with a caulk gun in hand working on the base boards. ;) Grandpa taught Max a new technique, watch out...he's got this caulking stuff down. They transformed my family room, dining room and kitchen. My house is starting to get that warm feeling that Grandma's has. A few final touches and voila!

Bear looked up and Grandpa while he was painting or caulking or something and said "Grandpa.... that looks like poop!" Grandpa and Max started rolling. Yeah, he takes after that side of the family and tells you how he really feels. ;)

Many know how much those Grandparents mean to us...and me in particular. It's funny to think that they have known me half my life. :)

Attached are some pictures. I will post the complete project after I hang wall art and frames we got last night.

Guma, this is number...free.
Me (pajama pants and all) and my Grandma.
Loving on Guma and Gumpa before bed.
This is called a wedgie. ;)
Max toatin' us around in Grandmas ride.
The loud passangers we picked up on the corner.

Kalee and her Gumpa.
That's my Grandpa. :)
Grandpa painting the crown molding.
Max painted Grandma's hair...and his head...and eyebrow...and chin...and...
...the ceiling. :)
...so we put him in the corner.
Talking about how to do what, and why to do that first.
Grandma adding her special touch.
I will post the final results later this week...so stay tuned. :)
