Stay-cation

Last weekends "stay-cation". You know, since we have yet to take a family vacation...

Yup,they are kids. We took them to see how those greasy things were made. Brought back memories of my high school years. We would drive about 2 hours to the nearest one (remember that Tara?). After Krispy Kreme we went to a local farm. We love farm animals. They had a beautiful garden as well.
Those sunflowers towered over their heads.
Max was about to get spit on....
I'm such a good Mom. I used Bear as a shield...
Max got me a new computer since I seem to mess all the other ones up. :) Part of an exhibit at the farm...we will definitely go back to that place...so cool.
----------------------------------
Last night we put a movie on for the kids and got to grouting. I'm wondering if Bear didn't think much of the stay-cation....or maybe he was trying to earn his keep with art work.

Top of the stairway.
Hall by his room and his door.

In his room. I didn't post all of them either my friends. Kalee didn't see him do it because "I listened and got in the bath on my own" (big step) but she laughed her butt off in the other room when she heard Max and I talking....I mean Max talking. I couldn't, it would have come out as a very loud talk....how markers belong on paper ONLY. Not the walls we spent months painting, or the door, door jam, book case, stairway, stair spindle, toy sorter, rocking horse, T.V. fan or anywhere else that it ended up on last night. I will say he earned enough money for a one way ticket to his bedroom and got to know it very well.

BUT... he's finally getting the hang of drawing circles....

Yeah....I do remember that. Krispy Kreme...Yum! I never used to care, but now when I have one I feel as though I am about to clog an artery....I guess it's a good thing that the closest one to us now is in Ontario. Oh to be young again and now have to watch or care about what I eat! LOL. By the way....I find Bear's work very artistic....Savannah hasn't mastered the writing utensils yet....but you would be amazed what she can do with cat food!

What child doesn't like to draw? As for it being on the walls...what child hasn't used the wall to show their creativity? LOL. It's funny when it's grandkids...can't say I thought it to be funny when MY kids did it. :)

Glad to see you all enjoy going to the farm. When you were little, we use to pull over and let you see the animals off Hamner. You always loved it!

We had a group of friends over the other night for a UFC fight. I moved all the furniture so we woul dhave more room. Kimo and Nani were climbing on the tredmil(it was closed up against the wall) and they were so cte playing together. Well I moved everything back yesterday and what did I find...... Yeah, Kimo had colored all over the wall. LOL!!! It was his first time ever and I made him help me clean it off there. Today I was sitting on the couch and found more on the TV stand where he drew a nice picture. BOYS!!!!
Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you my son says he works at KK. We took him there and he loved watching everything. He was so happy when they gave him a free one and a hat. Now he asks every morning to go and get a dounut. :)
