Rumor is true. Those of you on Facebook already know...I decided to go Vegetarian again (and eventually Vegan). I am still on milk, eggs and cheese but plan on phasing those out one at a time along with processed sugar. I'm crazy huh? Cheese is going to be the hardest! I might just reduce my intake of that. :)
So why did I decide to do such a thing? No. It's not because PETA told me to. And I don't think animal eaters are "wrong" or "crazy" either. I have had several complete strangers come into my life at different times educating me on how to go into remission and STAY in remission. Most of you know how picky I was about cleaning with chemicals before cancer. I still am picky but not as strict. Now I'm focused more on what I'm putting IN my body, including processed sugar. Yeah did you see me cringe when I typed that last sentence? I have no intentions of completely removing processed sugar from my body or trying to replace it with one of those nasty artificial sweeteners, but I will choose an oatmeal raisin walnut cookie sweetened with honey over a peppermint milkshake from Chick-Fil-a. Now that's hard! I love Chick-Fil-a's ice cream!
After researching what all these people have been telling me I decided they weren't as crazy as I thought. Even if it wasn't "true" at least I could say I feel not so drained and sluggish...and I no longer depend on coffee, oatmeal or Miralax. :)
So what do you eat Averi? A lot. You'd be surprised. I never was much of a boxed/processed food eater so the transition was not very difficult. Not to mention I was pretty much vegetarian until I got pregnant with Kalee...when I craved well done steak.
I also avoid drinking water that has been treated with chlorine.
If I wasn't weird before, I am now...huh?
*NOTE: I still cook things with a face for the family. :)

You have good eating habits, so this really shouldn't be very hard for you. The sugar cut back will be the hardest, but you will do it. Great job Ave!!
