...pet ladybug.
Yes, you are reading that right. A ladybug lives in my bathroom. I have seen it inspecting it's underside on the top of my mirror a few times. Figured "the Japanese say it's good luck" was the perfect excuse for my laziness of not taking him outside. I kinda found it to be funny because my childhood friend was a ladybug keeper and she has been on my mind. She had one of those huge ice cream buckets with holes poked in the lid full of thousands ladybugs. Good times. We fought just as much as we were friends but made some good memories....20 something years later (yeah we have known each other that long) both of us are married to service members and live on the opposite coast we were raised on....probably only a handful of hours away. I have thought about trying to catch up for a visit....sometime. Anyhow, tonight the kids were in the bathroom and Bear kept saying "hot poo-tase" Huh? "Ah-Mah, hot pooooo-tase" pointing to the cinnamon toothpaste. Ohhhh! I'm learning, slowly the sibling language is coming back to me. Then I hear "bee-bug". Now the only thing I got out of that one was bug and well.... upon my freak attack Kalee was trying to convince me "Mom, it's a cute ladybug. It won't hurt you, look!" as it crawls all over her hand. Sure enough pictures of my childhood friend flashed through my head. Now the pet bug has been on a sponge, Bob the builder hat, Eeyore's ear, the bottom of a toy horse shoe, and is now zipped in a purse being carried by my son. Humm? Looks like it's sleeping with us tonight and going to the commissary tomorrow. Any suggestions on what to feed it? Hello, Shawna?
It's in the hoof...and he's kissing it. I pictured it flying up his nose and trying to explain that one to the staff in ER.

Not lettin' go. Nevermind Mr. Independent's choice of pajamas. At least they are turned inside out so you can see the ballerina slippers. But hey, the dump truck sweater overrules. I'm at the 'choose your battle' stage...and that's not one of them.

:) I love it!!! :) LOL!!!! This is definitely one for the baby book. He looks so sweet and intrigued by his new little pet. Look at the bright side at least you don't have to clean up after it.
Aww yes...Shawna and her lady bugs. Great memories! Now you get to have even more...this time with Your kids. :) One suggestion, know where it is prior to vacuuming.
Love the color of the bathroom...
Gosh my grandkids are darling! :)
