We taught her to be honest.....and boy was she honest today. I threw Bear in the carrier on my back since I knew we were pushing into nap time and didn't want to fight him climbing out of the cart. Wow that was a run on sentence. Ran into Walmart for nothing other then laundry detergent to send Max. The lady that checked us out stuck a starlight peppermint candy into her mouth...but wasn't sneaky. Kalee said "Your eating junk food! Candy's not healthy!". GULP! Al bet my face turned the color of a pomegranate. My first thought came out of my mouth "Yes Kalee, but their are lots of other unhealthier things, every now and then candy is okay". As we walked away I apologised and the checker gave me the 'yeah whatever, she's just a kid grin'. I got the impression she may have been weaning herself from cancer sticks. Imagine our conversation in the car on the way home. It ended with "Drinking alcohol makes people get in car accidents huh Mommy?!?!". WOW!!!
...since he was still sleeping in the car I was determined to get all the petrified pretzel sticks out of the back seat....with the shop vac (yes he slept through it in his car seat)...that I had to get out of the garage....and accidentally knocked a new package of florescent light bulbs to the floor...and you guessed it...POP! "Dang, I think those have mercury in them!" I'm turning into a professional messer picker-uper! Lightbulbs, paint, Kalee's room...
Tomorrow. Kalee's room will be cut in half tomorrow...

LOL!!!! I just can't stop laughing :D I always love what kids say, we spend our days teaching them (brainwashing them)and it always makes me laugh when they inform everybody else. At least we know what we are saying is actually sticking somewhere in their sweet little heads.
LOl...that's my Kalee! Now, just don't ask if you look fat in a pair of jeans, or if you are getting wrinkles. It's not until they are a little older that they understand telling a little white lie to Mom is OK. But heck...you've got a lot of years and pounds before you have to worry about that! LOL
